The purpose of mastering the discipline is to train a dentist who is able to provide outpatient dental orthopedic care to patients with pathologies of hard tissues of teeth and defects of dentition.

Tasks of the discipline:

- familiarization with occupational health and safety measures, prevention of occupational diseases, monitoring compliance with and ensuring environmental safety in orthopedic dentistry;

- training in the peculiarities of examination of patients with pathology of hard tissues of teeth, defects of dentition with the maintenance of medical documentation;

- mastering the methods of diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of dental diseases in the conditions of the orthopedic dentistry clinic;

- study of indications and contraindications to the use of fixed and removable denture structures;

- training in the methods of conducting clinical and laboratory stages of manufacturing fixed and removable structures of dentures.
