Goals and objectives.
The goal is to train a dentist who is able to diagnose and plan the orthopedic stage of complex treatment of patients with diseases of the dental system, taking into account the individual characteristics of the course of the disease and the age of the patient.
Tasks of studying the discipline
1. Mastering the skills of examination and logical justification of the diagnosis in the atypical course of diseases of the dental system, in patients of different age groups requiring orthopedic treatment;
2. Carrying out differential diagnostics, determining the prognosis of the disease, drawing up an orthopedic treatment plan for patients with atypical course or (and) complications of diseases of the dental system, with chronic diseases of the oral mucosa, phenomena of intolerance to denture materials, periodontal diseases, increased tooth erasure, using dental implantation.
3. Mastering the basic manual skills in carrying out orthopedic treatment of patients with periodontal diseases, deformities of the dentition, increased tooth erasure, necessary for the professional activity of a future dentist of a wide profile.
4. Mastering the skills of examining patients in the clinic of orthopedic dentistry to determine violations of aesthetics and phonetics.
