Skeletal Structure and Function
The integumentary and musculoskeletal systems are susceptible to a variety of diseases, disorders, and injuries. These range from annoying but relatively benign bacterial or fungal infections that are categorized as disorders, to cancer and severe burns and traumas, which can be fatal. In this 4 week block, you will learn several of the most common conditions including pathophysiological features, diagnosis and basic management options.
First two weeks are dedicated to skin and adnexal disorders. Second half of this block considers muscle and bone disorders. At the end of the course students are expected to take the final summative quiz. In order to pass – 70% or higher score should be obtained.Skin & Subcutaneous Tissue Normal Processes
